This is what a typical Tuesday looks like as a Senior Fashion Merchandising major at Belmont University!

I start my day off bright and early at 6:30 A.M. I then do my morning routine and complete a pilates class. By 8 A.M, I am fueled off two cups of coffee and am in my first class for the day, which is Apparel Manufacturing. This class is taught by Professor Star Grieve and today she is walking us through the process of quality assurance within a manufactured garment purchase order. By 9:15, I am in my next fashion class which is Merchandise Simulation. This interesting course preps you for your Fashion Thesis project, as well as helps strengthen your research methods and project management skills. I work with my amazing group as we create product mood boards and determine a potential product line for a certain brand we were assigned. By 11, I am in my last fashion class for the day which is Fashion Merchandising Seminar. This is my two-semester long senior thesis course where I am doing a project over my favorite brand, SKIMS. I work on some research methods to gather my competitor’s data regarding their marketing techniques and who their target consumers are. I also meet with my professor where we go over my project's process and Jamie answers any questions or concerns I might have. I then write down a to-do list of any homework or academic related tasks I need to get done. The list includes finalizing some mood boards, research some on WGSN (a fashion forecasting platform), and clean up my resume and cover letter. I then head to work where I help my coworkers with a floor set and create some social media posts. By 7 P.M, I am home making dinner and ready to unwind for the night, and excited to do it all again tomorrow!
